We have joined with Tailored Travel to arrange a fascinating visit to Liverpool where we shall visit many of its most famous sites and two of the most prestigeous art galleries of the UK - the Walker Art Gallery (renowned for its Pre-Raphaelite paintings as well as, amongst others, works by Rubens, Rembrandt and Turner; and The Lady Lever Art Gallery, famous for world renowned art and decorative art collections. We visit the Roman Catholic Cathedral known locally as 'Paddy's Wigwam' and also the UK's largest Anglican Cathedral designed by Giles Gilbert Scott who also designed our red telephone boxes. In contrast, we shall visit Crosby Beach where we shall see the 100 cast iron fingures installation by Anthony Gormley.
On the way up to Liverpool in our executive coach, we shall visit the Wedgwood Factory where we shall have a guided tour before arriving at our central 4* hotel. That night we shall have a welcome dinner and for the following three nights we shall be on a B&B basis. For the full programme of visits please click here for the brochure and booking form. At the end of our tour we shall visit the newly developed Salford Quay, Manchester, go to The Lowry gallery with also the opportunity to visit the Imperial War Museum North with its iconic building designed by Daniel Libeskind.
The price per person is £799 with a single supplement of £119. The only extras will be lunch and three dinners.
Although this trip is arranged for next April 2027, we would ask that members join as soon as possible as the hotel needs numbers by October this year.
DEPOSITS: There is no need to pay a deposit until we have gathered together a viable number for the group. If you are interested in joining, please give me a completed booking form and I will hold it and advise you of any payment needed. We are hoping to have 20 - 25 people.
